Pass Bagger 50 | 100 | 150 | 200

Passbagger

BMWMCC members can choose to sign up for our very popular Pass Bagger quest.  The idea is to ride to the top of a Colorado pass, have the rider and his/her bike photographed in front of the marker identifying the pass, then accumulate and submit those photographs for awards at the 50, 100, 150 or 200 pass levels.  This is a perpetual self-paced program.  Passes may be “bagged” in any order with no required time limits.

Participants register for the program by paying a $15 fee ($30 for 2-up) at which time they receive an instructional packet and pass accumulation booklet.  Additional $15 fees are required from previous Pass Baggers only if they choose to “bag” more passes for the next higher award.
Photographs must include the bike, the sign (or equivalent) indicating the name of the pass and preferably the rider where possible.  We understand that many of the Colorado passes are not identified by signs or markers.  This is particularly the case for off-road passes.  Photographs of unique landmarks at a summit and/or of GPS devices showing the GPS coordinates are acceptable substitutes.
Once the rider achieves the target level, the photographs are submitted to the Pass Bagger Coordinator who will authenticate the pass completions and certify eligibility for the award.  The photographs can be submitted by printed copy or in digital form on a CD/DVD but in either case must be labeled with the name of the pass and the dates taken.

Those who successfully complete a Pass Bagger level are awarded an official level-specific award and special recognition at a monthly dinner meeting and/or our annual Top O’ the Rockies rally in Paonia, Colorado.
