BMW MOTORCYCLE CLUB OF COLORADO

  • 1 Oct 2026 12:27 PM | Sean Donnelly (Administrator)

Giving back is an important part of what makes the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado more than just a riding club.  As a 501(c) charitable organization, BMWMCC turns enthusiasm, friendships, and energy created through events such as the Top O' The Rockies and the 100,000 Foot Ride into meaningful support for people, organizations and communities.

Our contributions help address local needs, support rider safety and education, assist veterans and first responders, and provide help where it is needed. By supporting organizations such as Food Banks, volunteer Fire departments, youth programs, scholarship funds, the Motorcycle Relief Project, Wilderness on Wheels, and motorcycle safety initiatives, we demonstrate that the spirit of motorcycling isn't just about riding. It also includes service, generosity, and looking out for one another and our community.

When BMWMCC gives back, every member, volunteer, rally and event attendee and participant helps to strengthen our communities who welcome us, support the roads and places we ride and make Colorado such as special place to live.

The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado hosted its 54th Annual Top O' The Rockies Rally in Paonia, Colorado. This has been our Rally location for the past 37 years!! This event is the state’s longest running motorcycle rally, drawing several hundreds of riders from across the U.S. and Canada and Mexico.

This year, as has become a long-standing tradition, the BMWMCC has donated a significant portion of the Rally proceeds back to organizations within the Town of Paonia. The club has also donated to the following organizations:

    • The Ellen Smith Teen Center in Paonia
    • The Paonia Police Department
    • The Paonia Volunteer Fire Department
    • The Lions Club Memorial Scholorship
    • The Paonia K-8 School
    • The Family of Jamie Rober (a K-8 student who was severely injured in an accident)
    • The Paonia Senior Center
    • The Red Feather Bowman

These donations are greatly appreciated by the people of the people of Paonia and is part of the way that the Rally continues to benefit the Town, The Club and our guests.

Additionally, the BMWMCC has charities that our members have chosen for 2026 that will also be receiving funds. These charities include the Food Bank of the Rockies, The Motorcycle Relief Project, The National Motorcycle Safety Foundation, The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, Wilderness on Wheels, and the Humane Society of the South Platte.

Annually at the Top O' The Rockies Rally, the Town of Paonia provides baked goods to the rally attendees for a suggested donation amount.  The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado adds an additional donation to the funds raised by the bake sale.

At our recent Top O' The Rockies Rally the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado made a donation to North Platte Senior Connections/Paonia Senior Center.

    T
he Paonia Senior Center supports weekly programs offering low-cost meals, exercise, learning, and connection. They have also launched a new gathering space in Crawford, welcoming seniors twice a month to share meals, laughter, and conversation. With help from volunteers, they provide transportation, seasonal property help, and on-call assistance with everyday tasks—filling in the gaps that can make a big difference.
